Eleanor A. “Ellie” Williams

  Eleanor A. “Ellie” Williams, 91, of Streator passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Streator.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 8th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 8th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wenona.

  Born October 8, 1934 in Streator she was the daughter of Edward and Lulu (Gibson) Huber.  She married George Edward “Ed” Williams on June 25, 1955.  He preceded her in death on April 30, 2020.

  She is survived by daughters, Lynne Wilhelm of Blackstone and Lisa Williams of Spring Valley; a son, Larry Williams of Streator; grandchildren, Ricki (Emily) Williams, Wendy (Matt) Schaub and Deana (Aaron Richardson) Wilhelm; great grandchildren, Sidney and Brezdan Schaub; Drew and Ozzy Richardson; and Ellia and Elsie Williams; and a daughter in law, Donna (Ben) Thomas of Streator.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Lee Williams; a grandson, Jeremy Williams; a great granddaughter, Evie Williams; brothers, William, Alfred, Glen, Walter, Jack, George and Harold Huber; sisters, Phyllis Reed, Elizabeth Skaggs and Marjorie Kramer.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School.

  She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company in the Selecting Department for 32 years until her retirement.

  She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Ellie was a kind and gentle soul who would do anything for anyone.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

  The family would like to thank Lavanda and Johnathan Scott and family for taking such good care of their mom.
