Saturday, June 16, 2018 The LaSalle Genealogy Guild will meet at the Guild Library, 115 W. Glover, Ottawa, IL. Our speaker for the month of June will be Ray Johnson, a former criminal investigator, author, local historian, and tour guide. He was born in Chicago and currently resides in Brookfield, IL.
The subject of his talk is Chicago’s Haunt Detective. He owns Johnson Research Services which conducts research for other autohos, companies, and family historians.
He is a former representative of the Chicago Chapter of the Acssocation of Professional Genealogist, and a current member of the Jackson Park Advisory Council and Hyde Park Historical Society. Ray has published two books on Chicago history. He also writes a history blog called Chicago historyCop for ChicagoNow, a Tribune Company.
