Deborah L. “Deb” Thomas, 57, of Streator passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at O.S.F. Center for Health – Streator.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM. Tuesday, February 24th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday, February 24th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Born October 16, 1968 in Peoria she was the daughter of Richard and Joan (Redfern) Long.  She married James “Jim” Thomas on June 9, 1989.

She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Thomas of Streator; daughters, Courtney (Jake Walker) Thomas of Mahomet, Jessa Thomas of Streator and Haylee Thomas of Dwight; grandchildren, Tysen Walker, Cade Vickers, Lucas Rhodes, Levi Rhodes and Chase Coley; a sister, Becky (Bob Hill) Long of Peoria Heights; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in laws also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and mother and father-in-law, Nancy and Ben Thomas.

Raised in Streator she attended local grade schools and Streator High School.

She worked for many years as the manager of Hardee’s in Streator.  She later worked for Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac as a C.N.A. and later was promoted to Office Manager.  She also served as a Caretaker.

She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, playing bingo and bowling. She also loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Deb’s world was her family.  She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and sister, the most proud and adoring grandmother.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved them fiercely and without limits.  Nothing made her happier than being with them and watching them grow.

She will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her stubborn spirit, and the deep loved she carried for those closest to her.  Deb loved her daughters with her whole heart and took great pride in caring for her husband and her home.  She also enjoyed Jon Bon Jovi and made sure everyone knew.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the love she gave and the memories that will stay with us forever.  Mom, your love shaped who we are and you will be missed more than words could ever express.
