Mark E. McMullen, 65, of Arlington Heights and formerly of Streator passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at home.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 1st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 1st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Born May 28, 1960 in Streator he was the son of Jerome and Janice (Sroka) McMullen. He married Debora A. Pshak on February 4, 1989 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator.
He is survived by his wife, Debora McMullen of Arlington Heights, Illinois; his mom, Janice McMullen of Streator; brothers, Jeff (Nancy) McMullen of Streator, Gene (Sandy) McMullen of Streator and Walter (Ann) McMullen of Davenport, Iowa; a sister in law, Mary Beth Fuller of Elk Grove Village; nieces and nephews, Adam (Jen) McMullen, Matt (Jennifer) McMullen, Derek McMullen, Ashley (Mark) Kobylinski, Megan (Brian) Stansbury, Nathan McMullen, Erin McMullen and Benjamin McMullen; and 9 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome McMullen; a brother, Kevin McMullen; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Marcy Pshak; and a nephew, Garrett McMullen.
Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1978. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University and a Master’s Degree from DePaul University. He worked through the years for KMPG Peat Marwick and BMO Bank.
Mark loved bike riding, reading, traveling and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed spending time in Ft. Myers and Sanibel Island Florida.
