PERU – The Utica Fireside White Sox Club made a generous donation to Peru and Ottawa ambulance services on Friday. Bo Windy of the White Sox Club says the donation of $650 to each emergency service was acquired through their annual Christmas banquet and auction. He is encouraging groups to continue to support ambulance services, especially with the closure of Peru’s emergency room. Peru Emergency Medical Services Director Brent Hanson says the donation will go towards life-saving equipment. Fire Chief Brian Bressner says Ottawa’s portion will go towards educating the public.
