SHERIDAN – The person who died after a single vehicle crash April 1st near Sheridan has been identified. The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office say that 64-year-old Eugene G. Wierzbicki was killed in the crash at North 4201st Road near East 27th Road. Authorities say his vehicle was traveling south when for unknown reasons he lost control, struck a guard rail, and ended up in a creek upside down. The crash remains under investigation.
