STREATOR – Young artists of the Poco a Poco Music Festival in Streator showcased their talents to friends and family at Park Presbyterian Church Thursday night. Over twenty high school students representing eleven school districts from across north central Illinois performed a variety of numbers including folk, musical theatre and Italian opera. Throughout the week students learned from a range of classes from stage fighting to vocal repertoire. Kate Tombaugh says she’s grateful to the community, parents, faculty and students to have the opportunity at a third festival. A community concert will conclude the festival at Park Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 3 p.m.
