STREATOR – A woman was shot and killed in Streator and three suspects are in custody after a high speed chase across two counties. According to Streator Police Chief Kurt Pastirik, before 9 PM Tuesday they were called to the 200 block of West 9th Street for shots fired. The 33-year-old woman, whose identity has yet to be released, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. A Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a vehicle that matched the description of one suspected to be involved in the shooting and began a pursuit on Route 17. The vehicle crashed in Dwight, with one being taken into custody and two others after a search of the area. The investigation continues by the Streator Police Department, LaSalle County State’s Attorneys Office, Dwight Police Department, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
